Reusable Oil Lamp Wicks In Stainless Steel – 3 Pcs.

These reusable oil lamp wicks are designed for decorative oil lamps, where the wick is placed in a suitable container with lamp oil or petroleum. Each wick consists of a metal tube with an internal fibreglass core that transports the fuel to the top. The set includes three wicks that can be used together in the same container or distributed among several lamps. Container and fuel are not included.

Key Benefits

  • Set of three oil lamp wicks for decorative lighting arrangements.
  • The fibreglass core directs the lamp oil to the flame.
  • Outer tube in stainless steel provides a stable and reusable construction.
  • Can be placed individually or together in a suitable, stable container.
  • Suitable for lamp oil and petroleum intended for oil lamps.
  • Requires no batteries, charging, or electrical connection.

Overview

These oil lamp wicks in stainless steel allow for the creation of a simple oil lamp using a suitable container and an appropriate liquid fuel. The metal tube keeps the wick upright while the fibreglass core absorbs the liquid and carries it up to the top end of the wick. Once the wick is saturated, the top can be ignited and serve as a decorative flame.

The wicks can be arranged in various ways, as long as the container is stable, non-flammable, and suitable for the lamp oil used. They can, for example, be placed together with space between the flames or used individually in separate containers. Ensure that the wicks are securely positioned and cannot tip over or slide during use.

The product does not function like a regular candle. The metal tube does not melt under normal use, and the fibreglass core is designed for repeated use. Burn time depends on the amount and type of fuel as well as the size of the flame. Fuel should be replenished when the level becomes too low.

How To Prepare The Wicks

Select a heat-resistant and stable container that is suitable for an open flame and the chosen fuel. Pour a suitable amount of lamp oil into the container without overfilling it. Place the wicks so that the bottom part reaches into the liquid while the top part stands freely above the opening of the container.

Allow the fibreglass core to absorb the fuel before ignition. The product material indicates a waiting time of about two to three minutes, but the necessary time may depend on the fuel and the placement of the wick. Only ignite the wick when the top is clearly saturated. Use a long lighter or match to keep hands away from the flame.

Decorative Use

The set can be used for table decorations, seasonal displays, and other indoor arrangements where a smaller live flame fits the surroundings. Always choose a container with sufficient weight and an opening that keeps the wicks separated. The placement should also allow free air around each flame, so heat does not accumulate close to other objects or surfaces.

Safe Use

Only use fuel that is expressly intended for oil lamps. Petrol, spirits, and other flammable liquids must not be used. Place the lamp on a flat, heat-resistant surface with a good distance from curtains, paper, furniture, and other flammable materials.

Never leave a lit oil lamp unattended. Keep children and pets away from both the flame and the fuel. The container may become hot during use and must cool completely before being moved or refilled. Never pour fuel while the wick is burning or still warm.

The flame is extinguished with a suitable flame extinguisher or by carefully cutting off the oxygen supply. Avoid blowing forcefully, as this may spread fuel or cause the container to tip over. After use, the wicks should cool down and be stored dry along with the lamp accessories.
