Coffee Can With Vacuum Closure And Date Marker – 3 Sizes
This coffee can with vacuum closure is designed for storing coffee beans, ground coffee, and other dry goods. The container is made of high borosilicate glass, allowing the contents and remaining quantity to be seen without opening the lid. The closure combines a silicone seal with a one-way valve designed to limit air access to the container.
The coffee can is available with a capacity of 500 ml, 1100 ml, or 1700 ml. The three sizes have the same base area but different heights. This allows for the selection of a compact container for smaller amounts or a taller container for a larger stock of coffee beans.
Key Benefits
- Three capacities: 500 ml, 1100 ml, and 1700 ml.
- Container made of high borosilicate glass provides a visible overview of the contents.
- Silicone seal helps to close the container tightly.
- One-way valve is designed to allow carbon dioxide from coffee beans to escape.
- Built-in date marker can be set according to the storage date.
- Can be used for coffee beans, ground coffee, tea, nuts, grains, and other dry goods.
Closure With One-Way Valve
Freshly roasted coffee beans can release carbon dioxide after roasting. The valve in the lid is constructed to allow gas to escape from the container without letting air in through the same route. This function can thus be used as part of a more sealed storage, where contact with the surroundings needs to be limited.
The lid has a silicone sealing ring and a mechanism to switch between open function and sealing. The product is described as a vacuum container, but the actual sealing depends on the lid, valve, and sealing ring being clean and positioned correctly. Always check the closure after refilling.
Date Marker In The Lid
On the top side of the lid is an integrated date marker. It can be set so you can record when the coffee was placed in the container. The marker provides a visible reference point and can be handy if multiple coffee bags or roasts are stored at different times.
The date marker does not measure the freshness of the coffee and does not change the storage conditions. It serves as a manual reminder, while the coffee’s development also depends on the roasting date, temperature, humidity, light, and how often the container is opened.
Variants And Measurements
| Capacity | External Measurements |
|---|---|
| 500 ml | Approx. 11.2 x 11.4 x 11.3 cm |
| 1100 ml | Approx. 11.2 x 11.4 x 16 cm |
| 1700 ml | Approx. 11.2 x 11.4 x 24.8 cm |
The measurements are given as width x depth x height. Small deviations may occur depending on the measuring method. Choose size based on the amount that is typically stored, and also check the available height on the kitchen worktop or in the cupboard.
Materials And Use
The container itself is made of high borosilicate glass. The lid contains parts made of ABS, PP, and POM, as well as a sealing ring made of silicone. The wide opening allows for filling coffee beans into the container and removing them with a suitable measuring tool.
In addition to coffee, the container can be used for dry tea, nuts, grains, sugar, and snacks. It is intended for dry storage and should not be used as a drinking bottle. The capacity is indicated in millilitres, while the actual weight that can be in the container varies according to the size and density of the raw material.
Use And Maintenance
- Check that the container, valve, and sealing ring are clean and dry.
- Fill the dry goods without exceeding the space for the lid’s mechanism.
- Place the lid straight on and activate the sealing.
- Set the date marker according to the desired reference date.
- Store the container steadily and protected from shocks and extreme temperature changes.
The package contains 1 coffee can in the selected capacity. The glass container can be cleaned with a soft sponge and mild washing-up liquid. The lid’s valve and mechanical parts should be cleaned carefully and dried thoroughly before the container is reassembled.
