Overview

This night light with PIR sensor detects movement within the sensor’s range and automatically turns on when it is dark around the lamp. This means that the light does not need to be on constantly, and you do not have to search for a switch at night.

After approximately 15 seconds without further movement, the lamp automatically switches off. If the sensor detects new movement while the lamp is active, the light time can start over.

Automatic Motion Detection

This function is practical in areas where the light is only needed temporarily. This could be on the way through the hallway, by a staircase, or while searching for an item in a cupboard.

Place the lamp so that the sensor is not covered by furniture, curtains, or other objects. A clear placement gives the sensor a better chance to detect movement.

Turns On In Dark Surroundings

The night light is designed to turn on with movement when the surroundings are dark. This limits unnecessary activation during the day or in rooms where there is already sufficient light.

A light sensor assesses the lighting in the surroundings before the LED light is activated. The lamp can therefore react differently depending on the location and amount of light in the room.

How To Mount The Night Light

1. Choose a location where the sensor has a clear view.
2. Clean the mounting surface and let it dry completely.
3. Open the battery compartment on the back of the lamp.
4. Insert suitable batteries with the correct polarity.
5. Close the battery compartment securely.
6. Remove the protective film from the self-adhesive area.
7. Press the lamp firmly against the surface for a few seconds.
8. Check the function in dark surroundings.

Wait to load or move the lamp immediately after mounting, so the self-adhesive surface has a chance to adhere properly.

Placement By Stairs And Hallway

By a staircase, the lamp can be mounted at a height where it illuminates the steps without causing glare. The sensor should face the area where people typically approach.

In the hallway, the lamp can be used as a short-term orientation light at night. The automatic function allows movement through the area without first turning on the room’s primary lighting.

The lamp should not be placed where it can be hit by feet, doors, or objects being moved through the area.

Use In Cupboard And Wardrobe

Battery Replacement

When the light becomes dimmer, reacts slower, or no longer turns on, the batteries may need to be replaced.

Carefully remove the lamp from the mounting location if the battery compartment cannot be opened while it is on the wall. Open the cover and replace all batteries with batteries of the same type.

Check the markings for positive and negative polarity before closing the battery compartment. Do not mix old and new batteries.
