Overview

This portable espresso machine with self-heating combines water tank, heating function, pump, and coffee holder into one portable unit. It is designed for situations where you want freshly brewed coffee without bringing a traditional worktop model. The machine stands upright during preparation, while the included cup is placed under the outlet.

The interchangeable adapter system allows you to switch between three brewing methods. Use the adapter for ground coffee when you want to choose the coffee type and dosage yourself. The other adapters are intended for compatible NS and DG capsules. This makes the machine usable both with your own coffee and for quick preparation with capsules.

Self-Heating And Extraction

The water tank can hold up to 100 ml. When using cold water, the machine heats the water with the built-in heating function before extraction starts. The NTC temperature control is set to 85 °C, providing a controlled brewing temperature in the compact design.

The pump system delivers a specified pressure of 19 bar. The pressure forces the heated water through the coffee and into the cup. When using ground coffee, the specified dosage is up to 6 g. A fine grind suitable for espresso provides the right resistance, while too finely ground coffee can slow down the flow.

The cylindrical design makes the machine easy to place in a bag, backpack, car, or drawer. It does not require a fixed power connection during brewing when the battery is charged. Therefore, it can be used at the campsite, during a hike, in the camper van, in a hotel room, or at your desk.

The machine charges via USB. Fully charge it before longer trips, and bring a suitable USB cable and a compatible power source. The battery’s range is affected by the amount of water, starting temperature, and use of the heating function. Using already heated water requires less energy than heating from a cold temperature.

How To Use The Espresso Machine

1. Charge the machine, and select the adapter for ground coffee, NS capsule, or DG capsule.
2. Place coffee or capsule in the relevant holder, and assemble the parts correctly.
3. Fill the water tank without exceeding the 100 ml mark.
4. Place the cup under the outlet, and start heating and extraction.
5. Wait until brewing is complete before opening the machine.

Cleaning And Storage

Remove the adapter, coffee holder, and cup after use. Empty coffee grounds or used capsules, and rinse the removable parts with clean water. The main unit with battery and electronics must not be submerged in water. Allow the parts to dry completely before reassembling and storing the machine. Regular cleaning limits the buildup of coffee oil and residue around the filter and outlet.
